I'm looking to overclock my 2500K with a Asus mobo and I'm unsure of the settings to apply. I'm a complete noob at overclocking and havent done much to the settings besides manual Bclk at 100, 47 multi and 1.390 voltage. I've read soo many guides I'm unsure what to do to OC. I've been told that my settings are safe if I'm not doing a 24/7 OC. From what I've read before( I can post a link) Asus mobo's apply the OC via Turbo boost so can't run the OC 24/7. Any info please let me know. Looking for optimal settings please tell me what to change for best results. Looking to get to 5.0 or close as possible...here's the main part of my setup-
i5 2500K
CM Hyper 212+ push pull setup 120 mm fans
Asus P8Z68V-Pro
Evga GTX 570 Classified OC
Corsair Vengance 8GB

Voltage is WAY too high. To do that overclock you don't need a voltage anywhere near that. See if you can get 45x at 1.25, then work the voltage up from there, slowly creeping towards 50x.

However, if you're looking for a 24/7, just put it at 45x, and put it at 1.275 or so, and enjoy the flops!
