That depends on if your motherboard supports the size and speed of the DDR 400 module. Using them together however will cause the DDR 400 to downclock to DDR 333.

should be fine as long as your mobo supports dual sided DIMMs. if you run them together, your mobo should down clock the ddr400 to the speed of the slower stick.

but you need a new machine!
