its has a factory clock of 650/1000 and i oc it to 695/1170 and the max fps which is 91 is still there.
i have cat 9.8
hd 4850 ice q4 TRUBO 512mb
6 gb ddr2 667 mhz
e4500 2.2 ghz

DUH, type this in console: /com_maxfps 0

It might a limit on the in game tool, I too can only get 91 FPS on a 8800GT. Try FRAPS and see if you get a different result.

What limit?, 200+fps is possible with an 8800GT (or two [:mousemonkey] ).

 I wouldn't settle for less than 200+ myself but then you get what you pay for I guess.

Again though, if you're refresh rate on you're moniter is 60, you can only see 60 frames to begin with. As far as I'm concerned, its just wasted performance.

Now, if you have a 120Hz CRT, then you really get the extra benifits...

I'd rather have the performance and not need it than need the performance and not have it.

Any number higher then the refresh rate can not be seen. Period. The high number looks pretty though :D

Ahh, but it "feels" different and games based on quake1 allow you to do things at higher fps that you other can't.
