which gfx card palit gforce gts 250 1gb or ati radeon 4850 1 gb? also is there a major advantage with intel over amd?

They are about the same. Some would argue the 250 is slightly better but costs too much more.

Get whichever vendor you feel comfortable with, or whichever price seems better to you.

+1^ Both GTS 250 and 4850 perform pretty close to each other,go for the one which is cheaper.
U can check both CPU/VGA charts in tomshardware,they are useful :)
