The drive is a 6GB transfer rate drive along with the cable and its in a 6GB SATA port on the motherboard, but when booting up and detected it only shows that its at 3GB Speed ... any ideas? It doesn't really matter however. As a mechanical drive you're going to be limited by the spinning platters. This means around 150-175MBps read. You might need a different driver, but if anything its probably the wrong SATA port being used. Again, I wouldn't worry about it.
