Hi!

I'm going to buy Intel Core i7 920 D0 Stepping and Corsair XMS3 6GB 1600MHz RAM on Foxconn FlamingBlade GTI. I'm not going to overclock at the start.

What do I have to change in BIOS in order to run computer normally with stock CPU speed and RAM with 1600MHz? I heard something about Base Clock, but I'm not sure whether it changes the CPU speed or not.

Thanks for information.

nothing if u aren't going to overclock, however, if u want to turn turbo off which is a normal standard feature it is in the BIOS somewhere

but if u want to run the computer normally don't turn turbo off

You'll want to go into the DRAM timings and set the CAS settings for 1st 4 choices if BIOS doesn't detect automatically.

The 1600 won't come into play unless you OC and change the memory multiplier.

This is a good tutorial
