amd phenom II x4 920 at 3.ghz
evga gtx 260
4gb ddr2 1066
biostar ta790gxb a2+
bfg 550w psu

i get lag in games i should not(cod5 and cod4, gta 4, crysis and farcry 2). i know i should be able to see no lag in cod 4 on high settings but i do at medium and high and highest. i cant play cryis on high without major lag. farcry2 2 jumps continuosly and i was wondering what the problem was between ram the processor and the gpu.

i play at 1280x1240 and run xp 64bit

The processor and ram should be more than adequate and a GTX 260 should do extremely well at that resolution. Seems like you might have a bad card.

What are the temps of your GPU?

temps are low, 60c max at 70% fan speed. around 57c at idle. yeah i posted that right. no difference in temp?

Make sure you have the latest drivers, and if you had a previous ATI card then download driver sweeper to get rid of hidden ATI drivers.

Also run benchmarks to make sure it is a GPU issue.

i have had no ati cards and on high with crysis i get an average of 22fps with no aa or vsync
