I formatted my 16gb verbatim flash drive and after the format was

i formatted my 16gb verbatim flash drive and after it was done it shows that i have free space of 7.96mb of 7.96mb total space,any idea what happened?

Did you do a quick format or a full format? I would try a full format if you haven't done that.
