My PC Info:
Mainboard:Asus Rampage II Extreme
CPU: Intel Core i7 920
VGA: Asus ENGTX 295
Ram: 6 Gig Corsair mx3
Power Supply: Cooler Master 1000 Watt
Chases: Cooler Master Cm Stacker 830 nvidia Edition
Os: Xp(I tried on vista too)
Before I
STORY:

I Assembled System Carefully , For the VGA Power I Used Default Cable’s in The Box
( I mean one 8 pin and one 6 pin)
Then I setuped Windows Vista and All Drivers And utilities

After I turned on the Pc At First Times The Smart Doctor Software Show The Temp Of Gpu’s About 50-59 Degree Of Centigrade, Then I setuped These Games: “Call Of Duty Wolrd At War” , “ Assasins Creed”, “God Father II”(I Was setuped all this game n my own old pc before and all games are ok)

as soon as I start any games The VGA Fan Speed Increase fastly so that I scare of that sounds I thought it is the highest speed of fan… , and after I played games about 20-30 min Then I couldn’t Play Because the game stopped repeatly and The Details Not Shown Or Shown vey badly After I See This Condition I exit the game and check the smart doctor IT SHOWS 89-108 Degree Of Centigrade !!!!

And One Important Problem! : in Smart Doctor Software is a Slector for GPU’s Whent it set to First GPU just The Tem Is Active And Other info such as power and ram temp and fan speed is disabled but when I turned it on 2nd GPU The ram temp and fan speed are showing. Whats this Problem For?
Is my VGA’s Fan Faulty?

I tried For searching New Mainboard Bios But I Cant Find Any Bios That Relate To My Problem,Then I Setuped New nvidia Drivers and Last version of smart doctor but the Problem Still Exist!
Then I Changed The 8 pin Cables With Direct 8pin PCI Express Power Supply Cable And Turned On The PC, After Play Call Of Duty About1 hour the temp increased to 70 Degree but in other games Assasins Creed Problem Still Exist After One Restart
The Problem Accures Again In Both Games

QUESTION1 : IS MY PROBLEM ACCURES FROM POWER?

QUESTION2: IS NESSECORY TO I CHANGE ANOTHER 6PIN CABLES WITH DIRECT 6PIN POWER SUPPLY CABLE?

!!!!ATTENTION!!!!: THE DEFAULT VGA 6PIN CABLE HAVNT ONE OF PIN’S BUT THE DIRECT POWER SUPPLY’S PCI ECPRESS 6PIN CABLE HAVE ALL PIN’
QUESTION3: IS ANY ADDITIONAL COOLER OR FAN NEEDED?
Please help me to findout the way to solve this problem
I’ve got some photo’s about the insie of case and 2 temp software( Speedfan And Everest) in idle mode

Ok dude (i think you're a dude, right!?),

I'm sorry but your post is very, very confusing. So, excuse me if I misunderstand.

Well, first, why are you plugging the 295gtx through molex adapters?! :non:
Those are intended for people that don't have enough 12v PCI power connectors.
Looks like you bought a very nice PSU, which has all the power cables u need, so forget about the connectors that come with your 295gtx.
By the way, that part about "the default 6 pin dont have one pin but the PSU 6 pin have" or some such, thats bad, whatever you meant. Connect the thing properly! Use your PSU power cables! (and some cable management might help to cool down your case as well. That looks messy.)

So, use the PSU cables (the ones you call "direct" ) and update your results for us here.

Good luck! :)

P.S.: ASUS costumer support sucks. Don't count on them.

I think ASUS asumes that if you're buying their stuff, you're an enthusiest who knows what they are doing, and thus they don't give you much in the way of support. Anyway as Edgard says, use the cables on your PSU and don't use those adaptors if you don't have to. Looking at those pics you're doing all sorts of crazy with those cables so they are probably blocking the airflow. Make sure that air is getting to your GTX295 so that it doesn't heat up as fast.

1) Power the GTX295 directly from the PSU using a 6-pin and 8-pin PCIE power cable.
2) Open the side of the case, and direct a house fan at the innards. If this helps, then you have a case cooling problem. I would add an extra 120mm fan to the front, and one at the top. Side fans are possible, but I think they disrupt the natural airflow.
3) For such a nice system as yours, I would suggest a good OEM cpu cooler. Pick one of the top 10 coolers from this review article:
http://www.frozencpu.com/resource/ [...] d=JqPuITTJ
You may want to overclock a bit to 3.2 so that you can drive that GTX295.

VGA cards run hot, but they are designed to handle it. 100c should be ok. The GTX295 is a particularly hot card, but your system should be able to manage.

You cool your vga card is a couple of ways.
1) Increase the vga fan speed, if it is not high enough.
2) Make certain that the vga card gets plenty fo cool air. That is why I suggested adding front intake fan and top exhaust fans.

Please show me how i install the fan i mean the air ways they must take air inside or outside?

First, determine if added fans will help. If a house fan directed to the open case improves cooling enough to fix your problem, then go ahead and add some fans.

Your case has places for optional 120mm fans. I would add one to the front as an intake fan. I presume that the top fan is connected. Fans come in different speeds. A 1000rpm fan is quiet, but will not move as much air as a noisier 2000rpm fan.

Hot air rises. The idea is to draw in cooler air from the front and bottom of the case, and exhaust it out the back and top of the case. You want this flow to be unobstructed, that is why cleaning up your wiring as megamanx00 suggested can help.

what is the normal temps for my vga?

Dude, your vga temp is ok!
I think your gaming problem is due to something else.
To help us answer:
What is your OS? (XP or Vista, 32bit or 64bit. Hope is 64)
Do you have ALL the drivers updated?
Did you do a clean install (because you talk about vista and XP)

From your temperatures and other symptoms I would bet on software. An overheating VGA, or system for that matter, should cause more serious trouble than just games crashing.

Just to rule out hardware:
Did u connect the thing through you PSU's cables?
Did you tweak the card through asus smart doctor? (because, on your original post you talk about fan speed on the smart doctor, right?)

To make sure it is not hardware you should set everything back to factory default, troubleshot the entire system (all the cables, all the connections, all the BIOS settings), leave the vga fan in automatic mode, read your case's manual to set up the fans properly, and then, you try your games.
I used to run assassins creed on a beat-up e6600 with a leadtek 8600gt, your present system shouldn't even break a sweat with it on the highest settings.

(by the way, ASUS smart doctor and gamer OSD are very buggy. They used to cause slow performance on my old rig).

oh, and about the "Asus boss's" email... I think you do better to just drop this line of thought. If you think you have a hardware problem, go to the shop where you bought all this wonderful parts. ;)

"clean install" is when you install an operational system on a formated HDD (clean HDD). I asked because it is possible to do an "upgrade install", for example: first you formatted your HDD and installed windows XP sp3, but then, after having some trouble with it, you decided you want vista; so instead of formating again, you could insert the vista DVD and do an upgrade in the Operational System.

The upgrade procedure may cause some instability, due to conflicting or multiple drivers of different versions. So, when having trouble with a new system, is good to ensure that you have a clean install before you start troubleshooting everything, right?

But since you said that you used vista and then XP then I guess you did clean installs.
By the way, I expect you know this but, you cannot use all your 6Gb of RAM in 32bit windows (just gonna show around 3Gb). To use 6Gb you need a 64bit version of windows.

Anyway, have you tested after putting everything on default?
Is it still crashing?

Yes you can.
Your processor is designed to run in 64 bit mode.
It will be much faster. But keep in mind that you will need different drivers, and all 64bit drivers must be "signed" by microsoft, so it can be a little annoying at times. Nevertheless, because of the performance improvements you won't regret it. ;)

Good luck!
