Is there a free service to help me access recovered data on an external hard dri

Hello, I paid to have my data recovered when my computer was reformated to "factory settings". I lost all my documents and pictures. The external hard drive has recovered data on it, but it is not readable. How do I access it so I can see what it is ?

I went to the site you gave me and there is lots of information but I still am not sure how to go forward. Do I need a third hard drive to recover my pictues and documents? If I end up putting them back on my hard drive, will they take up all of the room on it ? I have two lost files and and two recovered files on my external hard disk and none are readable.

Should I contact Power Data Recovery and ask them ?
