I just recently bought some speakers from my local BX they were only $20 but I put the speakers up almost all the way and now the distortion is horrible. This is only within a week or two.. If you have any Ideas I would apprieciate it

You're apparently overdriving them. Turn them down...

its called clipping, when the volume goes beyond the deisgned threshold n audio gets compressed and sounds crap. the better speakers the more headroom
