Hi,

I am moving soon to an area that is serviced by Cox cable. They told me that I will have to pay $50 for a self install! Ridiculous for sure, the house is already wired! WTF?. I tried to talk to the customer service person, telling them it was a bogus charge, and can they waive it. They said no, so I said thanks and hung up.

Anyways, I'm sure others have fought the fight before, maybe not with Cox, but some other ISP that charges for self install. Is there a way to get around it?
