I'm investigating to upgrade my computer and saw something that I don't understand very well, hence the question.

I was looking at trying for the first time AMD processors and saw on their webpage the same processor but at different consumptions (i.e.: AMD PII X4 945 @125 W and @95W). I saw the specs and were pretty much the same with only that difference.

What's the difference?

Thanks and HELLO WORLD.

OK, but is there any benefit for using the 125 over the 95?

No, they just managed (over time) to produce the same CPU but with lower electricity leakage and hence TDP. The 95w version would be better due to lower heat and energy consumption with the exact same performance.
