Hello.
I have a Quad core Dell Inspiron 545. I've spent a fair bit of time researching what I can and can't do with it. Dell 'recommends' a ATI Radeon 4350 as it has been 'tested' on my model. Since I have a 300w PSU I'm tempted by the 4670 because I hear it only draws it's power from the motherboard and can work with a dell branded PSU.

Can anyone tell me if this is true or if I should jsut stick to the 4350?

^ That PSU can even power a HD 4770...But to be on the safer side, go with the HD 4670...

Really? Its a mare trying to sort this, everyone has a different opinion all the time.
It won't push it to the brink will it?

^ No...The HD 4670 is a very low power card...You wont have any issues at all and that too with that Dell PSU...

Last week i opened my stepsons Dell and found that due to the huge array they put over the CPU it isnt possable to put even a quite short card like a 4670 into it. One of the smaller almost square cards was needed and i dont know but size may be the reason they are quoting the 4350.

Just checked and you can get a 4670 on the smaler/shorter PCB if you decide to go that way ;)
