I need a video card for an i7 box that will mainly be used for photoshop and video encoding. Here is adobe's list of cards....
http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/405/kb405711.html

I was looking at these two cards (Outlander_04 told me the 4670 has the same feature set as the 4850, which Adobe seems to like)....
ASUS EAH4670/DI/512M/A Radeon HD 4670 512MB 128-bit GDDR3
HIS H467PS1GH Radeon HD 4670 iSilence4 1GB 128-bit DDR3

Do I get one of these or something else?? I'm more interested in good price and photoshop performace than great gaming. I wont get into Xfire or SLI. Thanks for any advice !

Tough call if you were looking for a gaming card: the ASUS costs a lot less and has faster memory, but the HIS has more memory.
However, photoshop is not very GPU intensive (CPU and RAM are more important) so just get the cheaper ASUS and maybe buy some more RAM (if you have less than 4GB.)

OK. Thanks Gulli! That's what I thought. I don't think I'll need the higher video ram, and passive cooling is nice, but I don't think one less fan in a coolerMaster case will make any significant difference in decibels.

The 4670 is plenty of a card for your photoshop needs if you aren't in to huge gaming FPS. Sure it will game ok, especially on a i7 box, but it isn't going to smash any records.
