A8v deluxe memory problem

Asus endorses up to 512MB ddr memory sticks, despite the a8v mb supports up to four 1GB sticks. So, this is my problem with 1GB sticks. 50% of "generic" sticks populated with Elpida chips work ok but not with Samsung chips. The system does not boot with 1GB samsung chips. Any idea?

Check the A8v's QVL, which should be available from Asus' website.

I changed the two 1GB Kingston DS sticks with Samsung chips by four 512MB SS generic sticks populated with Elpida chips and the system is working alright in dual-channel mode.
