CD filesystem

[32 bit confused]

Hello,
I really would like to ask you guys something today. why is it that several of the CD's my friends write me in Windows 7 simply isn't readable in Windows Xp? I currently have the same trouble with a photoshop CD. It works fine in a Windows 7 Pc, but gives error upon error in XP Explorer. Is there any way I can recover the data from the disk to be readable in a Windows XP pc?

Quite possible your drive is "Basic" and not capable of reading extended format of the media.
