FYI - I thought that I would post this as a lot of you have been asking if my LAN Party tour is going to continue. Due to a wild twist of fate, I will be going to Lanwar 17. The folks at Lanwar have info up on their site. You can read more below -

Lanwar 17 is proud to announce that Contributing Editor David Stellmack from Tom's Hardware Guide (www.tomshardware.com) will be our guest at Lanwar 17.

David will be hosting two question and answer sessions during Lanwar 17. The question and answer sessions will be sponsored by ATI. The first Q & A session will kick off at Saturday at 5:45 P.M., with a second late night Q & A session beginning at 9 P.M. on Saturday.

David will be fielding questions covering a variety of topics at Lanwar 17, and will provide his usual comedic spin on the computer and gaming world. Thanks to the generosity of ATI, David will have a variety of cool stuff to give away during these Q&A sessions.

“Supporting the LAN gaming community is something that I really enjoy doing! I have covered a variety of LAN gaming events during the past year and each one seems to be better than the previous one. These events give me the ability to meet the readers of Tom’s Hardware Guide and talk shop with them – which I love to do - as well as get additional input on articles we write.” – David Stellmack, Contributing Editor – Tom’s Hardware Guide

David has also agreed to judge our just-announced Case Modding Contest at Lanwar 17. David will be awarding prizes to the winners of the three best case mods.

Unfortunately, Lanwar 17 is already sold out at 575 pre-registered participants, and no additional seats are available to play in the tournaments. Admission is free for spectators and for those interested in coming to listen and be a part of one of the two Q & A sessions.

Lanwar 17’s thirty consecutive hours of gaming will be held at The University of Louisville campus in Louisville, Kentucky in the Student Activities Center building. The event begins at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 18, and continues through 6:00 P.M. Sunday, January 19, 2003.

Does this mean that you are going to write an article that we here in the community can read about?
