Because Intel is waiting to release the next gen Clarkdale and Arrandale (with LBR?) first I guess.

They only needed to release the i5 750 to compete with AMD in price/performance. Unless they have to i doubt if you'll see another one. They want you to step up to the i7 860 from the i5 750.

600 series are on the way at 32nm which are dual core nehalems with ht.
