I want to get a 4770, but I have to choose between a powercolor or sapphire, same price for both. I know the physical card/ performance are usually the same for the different brands, but I can't find anything about software or anything other than basic specs on the manufacturer websites. Does anyone know if one of these cards is better than the other (in terms of software, support, warranty, features, and/or reliability). There are links to the exact products below. Also, I currently have a PNY XLR8 performance edition 8800gt, which has similar performance to the 4770, but i'm curious approximately how much less heat the 4770 will generate. I find alot of comparisons on power consumption but not much of a heat comparison, which is important if your usually in a closed environment. Thanks

I think as you said, you wouldn't really notice a difference. The software is going to be the same for both, so no difference there. Sapphire is a little bit of a more widely accepted brand, hence why it has 63 reviews, as opposed to powercolor's 3. If I were you I would go with Sapphire just to get the 'better' brand.

Thanks for the replies, that clears up the purchase, but also roughly how much less heat will the 4770 generate compared to a pny xlr8 8800 gt 512?

A 4770 has a TDP of 80 watts, a 8800GT has a TDP of 105 so not a ton less heat
