Ok so I am on week 3 of my new build, i'm having alot of unexplained HD usage. Any program to tell me what is accessing the HDD so much. I have defragged and spyware/virus check and everything is clean. I am running a dual-boot of vista premium 64 bit with ubuntu 64 bit. My setup is a Asus Crosshair Formula III motherboard, AMD Phenom X4 945 3.8ghz CPU, 2x2gbs of OCZ platinum ram, and a Samsung Spinpoint 1tb hard drive.

if its just in vista is probably just indexing

Ok new to vista that could be the cause.

Vista does a lot of indexing while you're not using the computer, especially if its a 3 week build it will be going from the ground up.

Not to mention that your virtual memory throws on average 30 hard faults a second even when idle anyway, so you're always bound to have some usage.
