Opening graphics properties crashes my windows xp

hi all,

after my windows xp sp2 instalation i installed the graphics driver from the mother board cd. Post instalation after system restart when i try opening the graphic properties the system restarts.

Can someone help me out resolving this issue?

Also the system restarts when I try playing any video files in my new built system. some icons distortion is also encountered.

Please help me out in getting this issue resolved.

Why did you stop at SP2 ? Sp3 has been out for several years, with many updates, following that. Get your system up to date !
