Hey i have been having issues finding some True AM3 Sli mobo's. If anyone has any information about motherboard updates for the end of the quarter or has a mobo in mind that would be sufficient, please enlighten me! thanks for the help!

What i need is:

AM3 DDR3 w/ AT LEAST x16 dual SLI :kaola:

I know there really isnt anything , but it wont hurt to ask if anyone has heard any news lately on motherboard technology

Theres not many SLI mobo's that are really sufficient unless its an x58 mobo...

and im not sure if there is any am3 sli motherboards... but, i dont think so..

naw lol, i mean SLI. Reason being is i like AMD and i have 2 cards sitting right now waiting for a home...(my new build) but along with it i want to get an am3 chip, but no mobo's support my NEEDS of DDR3!!

Does anyone know of any articles lately or the past year informing us of what is forseen this year or early next quarter for ddr3 / amd motherboards? meh x58's are dominating.... buying intel is like buying Nike.... worth the price, but why would you buy it if you can find something just as good/satisfying for cheaper :sol:

^ because there isn't anything that is just as good for cheaper?

infact the i7's are a steal for the market they are aimed at.

why do you NEED ddr3?

you can sli in an am2+ mb with DDR2

long term thats not the best solution but right now its perfectly workable

I don't think nvidia is going to support SLI on AMD, *cough* ATI, motherboards anymore.

forget i5, it's cheaper to get an i7 920 at microcenter and a cheap mobo.

MSI has announced a 980a/DDR3 mobo

Bad arse shite! Heck yea! That is what i have been waiting for. Good find on the information! I appreciate all of it! The 750a is a good low end mobo, which will be a small upgrade. But the find on the 980a am3! +5 to bat and +5 to MSI for poop on Asus! even though i am a fan of asus they screwed themselves with there 980 :oP

There's this MSI AM3 750a for $100. It's only 8x/8x SLI, but might work for you.

Yea i noticed that one too when i was researching the msi 980a. I was like ***! But i think the only differences are the PCI-e x16 sli slots and the ddr3 , i forgot what the article said. It was on techpower i believe....
