Hey guys,
I have been searching everywhere for some information on six-core i7 processors but can't find anything. I was hopeing that you guys might have heard something about possible release dates? The reason I ask is because im about to purchase a system for Video Editing and would really like to have six cores instead of four.

I posed a similar question awhile back. The plan is for these chips to come out during Q1 of 2011 (Sandy Bridge). The six core i9 will be out in January, but I have a feeling it's going to be rather expensive.

It's called the I9 Gulftown, and it's out in 1Q 2010 around then. It's a 1366 drop in for X58 motherboards. There is plenty of info out there, just have to remember what it is called.
