I heard gigabyte's UD7, usb 3.0 only fully functional when all pci-e slots not occupied, or something like that. Can someone explain this to me how it works, and how i can spot this in the manufactures website??.
Also does the asus one do that as well?
overall which board is the best?

Go for Gigabyte! It is rock solid stable & Good performance board! Gigabyte boards Good VFM too! (I am using K7 Triton for past 7 Yrs With Zero Problem)
I would go for Asus as it is True usb , in adition it has more features, although the gigabyte does have raid 0 with PCI 3.0 where the asus dosent , but this is not an issue as hard drives today dont really use the 3GB/s they can.
