Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD7 vs Asus P6X58D Premium

I heard gigabyte's UD7, usb 3.0 only fully functional when all pci-e slots not occupied, or something like that. Can someone explain this to me how it works, and how i can spot this in the manufactures website??.

Also does the asus one do that as well?

overall which board is the best?

Thanks

  1. Go for Gigabyte! It is rock solid stable & Good performance board!
Gigabyte boards Good VFM too! (I am using K7 Triton for past 7 Yrs With Zero Problem)
  2. I would go for Asus as it is True usb , in adition it has more features, although the gigabyte does have raid 0 with PCI 3.0 where the asus dosent , but this is not an issue as hard drives today dont really use the 3GB/s they can.
