Hey, I've been having this problem where my computer wont boot up with the monitor connected to my video card. My computer instead boots to my motherboard where there is another slot for a monitor. Is this a problem related to an onboard graphics card conflicting or something else?

you could go into your BIOS and see if plug and play (PnP) is enabled on your PCI slots, it probably is by default though just check, hit delete while the POST screen is displayed to get to your bios. If your new video card requires power make sure it is plugged in. it is important to have enough power or your computer will not boot this makes sence since you just added a video card.
