also i'm curious of how the imc in the amd processor can handle DDR3 1600. I am going to use 8gb of ram so would you recommend DDR3 1333 or DDR3 1600?

Hi newcomer and welcome to the Tom's hardware forum.

I would get the 790FX-GD70

Support more ram speeds, and IMO can delivery the same performance that the gigabyte at a less price.

for a high end gaming system DDR3 1600, tough DDR3 1333 would do it with minimum difference

Is DDR3 1600, really be a big difference over DDR3 1333?

See yourself, the difference isn't big, in fact, is more small that DDR2 800MHz and DDR2 1066MHz
