I'm looking for advice on the best way to connect a new PC (i7 860) I'm building to both my monitor and my TV. The monitor is a Dell 2208WFP 1680x1050. My TV is a 32" Visio "Full HD" 1080p. I do some home video editing. I don't do much gaming (and when I do it's mostly games like Civilization). The purpose would be to preview my movies, watch Hulu, DVDs running on my PC via my TV. I may eventually use the PC with a TV tuner as a DVR, but that may be so far down the road it never happens.

Can I use a 4670 such as this one: ASUS EAH4670/DI/1GD3/V2 Radeon HD 4670 1GB 128-bit DDR3? Would I be able to hook the DVI up to my monitor and the HDMI up to my TV and run a split screen?

Or would I be better off with a 4850 like this: MSI R4850-2D512-OC Radeon HD 4850 512MB 256-bit GDDR3? In this case, can I use the DVI to HDMI adapter to also carry sound through the HDMI cable? Should I be concerned that this model does not appear to come with a power cable?

I'm willing to consider Nvidia as well, or any other suggestions you have. Thanks for the help!
