Which should i buy, and which is better for it's money? The 9800gtx or the ATI 4850? I also have an ordinary 650 watt PSU. i think these cards recommend a 450 watt psu. I'm thinking my PSU is about 75% or more efficient. Would i be ok with either of these cards?
Should i go for 9800GTX second hand for £76 good conditon with everything. Or ATI 4850 new for £100 with everything? I want to save a bit of money too, but i will go for the one which is better for it's money. So which one? Also, i'm guessing that 9800gtx is better than 9800gt?

Also adding onto that is the gts 250 better than both of them? Overall?

hmmm...thats a tough call. BUT because you can save 24 pound with the 9800GTX, 5 or 10 frames for 24 pounds arent worht it.
GTS is too overpriced. just go with the 9800GTX for that price, but make sure you test it to see if its "good" condition is really good.

I have a 4850 and love it, but for 24 pounds, get the 9800GTX.

Also just to update you. I have seen an ATI 4850 for 90 pounds. And i have seen a GTS 250 for 100 pounds. Which one should i get. They are both from XFX. This includes posting as well.

The GTX will run hotter and consume more power that the GTS 250..... Not to mention the GTS 250 is a tad faster....

your 650w psu should handle it as well, and it is significantly faster than all the cards you are thinking of

I think, Only 9800GTX+ could be compared to HD4850

i bought the GTS 250 a couple of days ago. I don't want to go too hard on my computer since it is HTPC but accepts full height graphic cards and ATX PSUs which is awsome. I also have a 19 inch monitor, very good quality though and so i can play games at full settings and resolution of 1280 by 1024 and not get any lag. For games like Rainbow Six Vegas 2, Call Of Duty 4, and Turok should i get framerates over 60 for sure with having aa on 4 and fsaa on 8? The resolution of 1280 by 1024 and all other game settings maxed? With the GTS 250?
