Issues with recent computer build

OK so here is my issue. I recently purchased the Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 CPU.

Ever since i installed it after about 2-4 hours my computer screen locks up and the sound begins to stutter.

This usually happens when i browse th web or close a web browser but never in games (at least not yet).

I have the latest BIOS and Drivers, and nothing is running above 40 C when idling or browsing.

Specs:

BFG 9800 GTX+ 512MB Graphics Card
EVGA 790i Ultra SLI Motherboard
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 CPU
Corsair 4GB RAM 1600MHz
1TB harddrive (nothing special)
Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit

Please, almost anything will help at this point in time.

Update:
So after a bit of testing i noticed that it consistently happens after 4 hours every time. This time it froze during Team Fortress 2, but the sound didn't stutter this time around.

Please anything, and i mean anything helps.

did you manually set the timings and voltages on the ram? Run memtest for atleast 5 passes to make sure your RAM is error free.

No i did not manually set the timings and voltages on the ram, and right now im running the memtest, ill post the results after 4 more tries.

If you didnt manually set the voltages and timings that wont show up via memtest, but it will cause lock up issues.

Ok so after one test it said there were no memory errors detected, ill do it one more time.

Just did second test and no errors again, ill do another just in case. Aside from the ram any other suggestions?
