Hello, This is my first post to the NG.

I've got an old IBM Thinkpad 755cx (P75 w/ 24mb of RAM and 500mb HD) with
DOS 6.22 and Win 3.11.

I found a DOS driver for USB (which works great when I boot to DOS from a
Win98se bootable floppy on my Pentium II 450mhz machine) and would like to
buy one of those PCMCIA cards with 2 USB ports so that I can use my Lexar
Media JumpDrive, but I want to make sure that it will work with the old
Thinkpad and DOS.

Does anyone know if it will work? Is there anything else that I need other
than the PCMCIA card? Can you recommend a brand/vendor and also recommend
brands/vendors to stay away from?

Thanks!

I've never heard of a PCMCIA USB card. The USB PC Cards that I've seen
all require Cardbus. The 755cx supports only the old, 16-bit PCMCIA cards.

I don't think the 755 will handle anything other than type 1 pcmcia cards.
