Forum Motherboards & Memory : Gigabyte Gigabyte Virtualization

I recently wanted to run Windows XP Mode inside of Windows 7 but my motherboard (GA-X48-DS5) does not display the option to enable virtualization in the BIOS despite running an Intel E8400 which should support the feature. Is there any fix for this issue?

Should be on the "Advanced BIOS Features" page; <CTRL><F1> unlocks some BIOS options, but that one's normally available, and is, as you say, supported on the 8400... It certainly works on my DS5 with a 9550 - try BIOS F8C here:

Ctrl+F1 didn't show anything new and the BIOS F8C .exe brings up a message saying it's "not compatible with this version of windows, check your computer's system information to see if you need 32-bit or 64-bit." I'm running 64-bit professional. I opened the @BIOS tool and it says I'm currently using F5. Should I try F7?

Nevermind, I got it now. I did the F8C update using @BIOS and it worked perfect. Thanks bilbat!
