Would my CPU (Core 2 duo E8500 3.16GHz) bottleneck a system with 4850s in CrossFire?

- My maximum resolution is 1360x768. Would 2 cards be "overkill"?
- I do like to set details to maximum.

Not at that resolution.. No need of two cards for that resolution...

Agreed^ a single HD 4850 is sufficient for that resolution,no need for CrossFire

OK, never mind the resolution (I'll actually be @ 1080)

Back to my original question:

Would my processor - duo E8500 3.16GHz bottleneck- w/ two 4850s in Xfire?

your cpu should be ok. if you think your cpu will bottleneck the crossfire setup then OC your cpu :)

e8500 will not be bottlenecked by any of the mid-upper range cards when overclocked. dont keep it stock - those things can hit 3.8 with stock voltage.
