Hey kid's looking to start fresh but don't know the best motherboard / chipset to head towards. Just looking for the Box, got most the extras. Say in the $2000.00 arena Thanks, Goat.

I'd go with an Evga x58 LE motherboard because those supposedly have a nearly identical bios to the evga x58 extreme, the best (and most expensive) motherboard out there, so you'll get a great overclock for a cheap price. -$200 Couple that with a core i7 920 cpu-$280 and a Domino a.l.c. water cooler-$70

Go with any full tower case- $90. 2 60 GB OCZ Summit Solid State Drive in Raid 0 formation, on sale for a combined price of $350 (you can only get 1 rebate http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... )

3 sticks of 2 GB 1066mhz DDR3 RAM (don't spend more money on 1600mhz, no performance gain), all brands are pretty much the same, $110.

Windows 7 x64- $110

1200 Watt power supply, choose whatever brand, $270.

21 inch monitor, $160.

2 ATI HD 4890s in crossfire for $400 combined total.

Total is $1950, give or take sales/deals/where you buy it. I got all of these prices from newegg.com. If I knew what I know now about the i7 systems, and if I had another $400 (my budget was something like $1500) I would have built this configuration. Don't forget to overclock everything in order to get the most value out of them.

Wow that build is a bad waste of money. A 750TX will handle 2 4890s and save $150 before rebate, and a single 4890 is plenty for most people. And since its going to be a sound machine too you should probably get a sound card. But really we need to know your uses to suggest a good build for you. No point spending extra on components you dont really need.

If you will edit your post into the format shown here we can get you a complete build
