Hi I have been having problems when starting up my computer. Everytime I turn on my PC or reboot it, or restart it, the screen is black and shows this message:

Dell System Dimension 8300 series
BIOS version A00

www. dell.com

Diskette drive 0 failure
Alert! System battery voltage is low
Strike the F1 key to continue, F2 to run the setup utility

What is this? why is my PC showing this message all the time? What can I do to fix this problem?

Please I need help. Thanks in advance!

Sounds like your cmos battery is low, so your bios isn't able to keep its info due to the lack of power. If this is the case, you should be able to fix this by getting a new cmos battery (easily obtained from your local hardware store), replacing your old one, then setting up your bios.
