Not showing anything after bios screen

Hello,
i installed windows 7 on my friend's pc, because of low space on his c drive, i expanded the c drive using a software, after restarting the pc, its just showing the screen which say " press del to enter setup and tab to go to post bios message". and if i immediately press the delete key, then it goes into setup, but after that it is not taking any key, i tried to check whether it is booting, so i inserted the windows 7 dvd, but it is not even booting. please help.
