my computer wont fully start up and it makes a clicking noise while running. the noise started the same time i had trouble rebooting

I have no idea what the title means, but it sounds like you have a bad hard drive or possibly a failing fan--one could cause all sorts of OS problems and the other could be making the computer overheat.
Try opening the case up and finding out exactly where the noise is coming from.

I ended up having a bad drive, the arm that runs across the disk inside the drive was going forward and back without reading anything. Time for a new drive I guess.
