How to find what motherboard i have

Hello,
I have a motherboard that I think the serial number is C42S002-01274-60-M7A708-C08, if that's the right number. It won't detect my Sata hard drive at all. Help!

More about find motherboard have
  1. the serial number probably won't help, unless a google search comes up with something. The easiest way to find out what motherboard you have would be to download CPU-Z (http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php) run it and goto the motherboard tab.

As for your sata drive, are you running XP? It doesn't have native sata support so you will need to download the sata drivers for your motherboard ( I guess you were already on this track )

Could you also give a little more detail on your situation. are you adding a drive to a computer, is it a new build etc...
