I've noticed that a lot of graphics cards that advertise HDMI support only have it "through adapter." A few I have seen actually have an HDMI port on the card next to the DVI ports. I can't help but imagine that there would be a noticeable difference between the quality of picture from the adapter and the direct HDMI.
I currently have an MSI ATI 4850, and it has "HDMI through adapter." Is there a quality difference between "through adapter" and a port directly on the card, and if so, is it great enough for me to consider buying a new video card?
