Topic. I already have an Audigy 2 ZS (about 5 year old soundcard). Is it better than the integrated soundcard on the motherboard? Or has integrated technology surpassed 5 year old dedicated technology?
same question im asking right now, your mobo has the same codec as mine, the alc888. i just pulled out my x-fi extrememusic that i kept from my really really old socket 939 asus board and have been using for the past year with my current mobo, and to be honest i cant make out much of a difference
Well the best thing to do since you already have the Audigy 2 ZS is test it out for yourself, the biggest problem you'll probably encounter is the OP/SYS you'll be running, are there up to date drivers to support the Audigy 2 ZS in the first place.

Yeah, there are drivers for audigy 2 ZS for Windows 7. Creative get a lot of flak for bad driver support, but I honestly can't see why. The Windows 7 drivers came out in september, 2 months before Windows 7 was even released.
