I recently purchased a new motherboard, memory and cpu for my desktop computer. Everything works flawless except the sleep standby mode. Whenever I enter my computer into sleep mode for more than an hour, when i turn it back on, the monitor stalls to turn on for about 25 seconds, then the screen comes up and is completely corrupt with colors flying everywhere. about 10 seconds after, my computer restarts and asks me if i want to start windows normally and says it has recovered from a serious error.

I'm running windows 7 ultimate 64-bit and the motherboard is a ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO.

Like i said before, everything works perfect except the sleep mode. I can even run sleep mode for a solid 20 minutes and I can still get it to turn on just fine, but any longer and it seems to create issues. I'm not sure if its a compatibility issue with the onboard video? just looking for some help with this.

Chickenhoagie,

Have you installed the latest chipset drivers for your motherboard as well as your ACPI / Power Management drivers?

Should you require additional assistance and feedback, Microsoft does have an official Windows 7 Support Forum located here http://tinyurl.com/9fhdl5 . It is supported by product specialists as well as engineers and support teams.
