Hello,

Now I am torn between what monitor to chose from and I think i settled on the Samsung t260hd(comparing to Samsung t2570hd). I've been looking at some 1080p monitors, and is it really better to go with 1080p over 1920x1200?

I personally prefer the 1920 x 1200 monitors. The extra 120 row allows you to see more on the screen.

I'd take 1920x1200 every time. I always like more pixels, and the extra vertical space is nice for things other than gaming and movies.

Yeah I think it depends what you are going to be using it for. And price..

Side benefit of 1200 over 1080:

If you find yaself in the position where "Alt Tab" doesn't let you switch programs when playing a game in full screen, a 1920 x 1200 screen comes in handy. Set the game resolution to 1920 x 1080 and you will still have ya windows taskbar at the bottom of the screen
