I have a Gateway laptop m685-e laptop with a pci-x16 graphics card 7900gs go just wondering if I can upgrade the video card to a 7950gtx of 8800gtx or higher? Not quite sure what mxm it is I think type 3. Thanks for the help!

You could call customer service and ask for a level 2 help desk(help get the idiot out of the way to some one who isn't as much of an idiot. Then ask from the manufacturer if they could provided you with a helpful answer or two.

well good luck, the most i could find was that it used MXM-III, though i don't know which revision, a decent MXM replacement will cost anywhere from $300-$600 depending on how good it is and the rarity of the card
