I am ready to install two 1GB ram boards in my dimension 2400. I was told I should update the BIOS before I install the boards. What Bios update do I need and how do I search for it on dell.com?

You shouldn't need to update the bios to upgrade ram, but compatibility sounds like its touchy for that model:

The A5 bios is the latest for the 2400. Check to see if that's the one you have since this was the only one and from 2003.
