I just got my latest rig up and running. With the new VGA cards becoming so big i encountered my case wires not being long enough. Only the power, power led, and reset wires. Do i need to rewire? Are there extensions available? I have no electrical exp!!!

If your power, power LED, and reset wires are too short (I can't tell from your post), you can easily extend them to a custom length yourself.

You cut each wire in the middle, one wire at a time, splice in a new wire, and cover the exposed metal with tape. You can get standard "bell" wire, tape, and instructions from your local Radio Shack. Or ask again here.

Those wires are NOT carrying heavy current, and this "mod" is totally safe.

Yeah thanks for the link at three bucks a pop I will check the cost of radio shack which will prob be more expensive for the two connectors. Thanks!

k4, I think you misunderstand. You will not need connectors, only wire for the middle extensions.

Or maybe I misunderstand.

And if you route the spliced wires behind the motherboard tray, the visible part will still look neat.
