Wzc missing from services

I have a DELL notebook with Windows XP. It does not recognize wireless networks. I am suggested to use WZC, which should be in
My Computer menagement
Services
But it is not there
Can anyone help?

Start\Run\type: "net start wzcsvc" (no quotes) and hit Enter to start the WZC service... No success?, check the WZC service depencies... the NDIS usermode (I/O) protocol service, may be stopped/disabled.
