Do you guys think this does a good enough job? iirc it only ran for like 5 minutes tops, isnt ram supposed to be tested for hours?
If the windows mem diag isnt any good which version of memtest should I dl?

Use memtest86+, download and burn the CD ISO version (4) to a cd, then set your computer to boot first from the CD/DVDR, and boot into memtest. Let it run to completion, or until you get errors. If you get errors at stock settings, you have bad RAM. If you get errors while OCing, try new RAM settings in the BIOS.
