Start button, Taskbar and Desktop icons missing
Last response: in Windows XP
I cannot get into my desktop computer at all. When it is turned on it goes through all the normal motions and then my wallpaper picture comes up and that is it. There are no icons and the start menu does not appear.
Is there a solution?

to see the desktop press Alt+Ctrl+Del >> Taskmanager >> file >> new task >> type desktop or explorer.exe >> hit Enter.
then you will see the desktop.
HI, and thanks for replying but it does not want to do anything. It does seems as if there's something that can be done. Though I feel I have tried most of them.
