Ok so I have a 2500k and asus p8p67 pro rev 3.1. I was thinking about running the extreme auto tune in ai suite ii and seeing what it ghz it gives me. Then if it changes my bus clock then changing it back to 100 and upping the multiplyer to match what the autotune had it.to. Then change the ram timing and stuff to match mine. Good idea?

Autos a bad idea as it always gives way too much voltage. you dont really need to to change your base clock either keep it at 100 and let the multiplyer do the work. you could start by putting the multiplyer to 40 for 4 ghz and the voltage to 1.3v if its stable just decrease the v until it fails then nock it up a notch or 2
