Usb ports dont work

i have a a8ae-le mobo its a compaq sr1710nx computer and it dosent recanise any think i plug in to the usb ports i have up dated the bios. does anybody know how to fix this problum? thanks for your help.

Is this just the USB ports on the case or also the USB ports on the back i/o panel?

none of the usb ports will reconise anything
